TheJIIC team assisted with CAD/CAMand RP and were able to provide the company with prototype and master modelswithin a short timescale. This meant the product development time wasshortened, speeding up the lead time to market and creating a longer buyingperiod for their range cufflinksResultsThe assistancehelped the company to realise new designs which might not have been possiblewith internal model making skills The assistancehelped the company to research and to test the market with new product The productdevelopment lead time was reduced. Higher salesfigures were generated as a direct result of new design reaching the market atthe desired time.The assistancedemonstrated the use of RP technologies to other parts of the business andprovided them with the opportunity to assess potential applications of newtechnology for the future.
